Janneke Jaspers joined Starfish Innovations in November 2022 as Business Developer. After obtaining her PhD on drug resistance in breast cancer at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, she worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York as a postdoc and senior research scientist on the development of novel CAR T cell products for lung cancer. Her CAR T cell therapy for small-cell lung cancer is currently in development for clinical testing. Janneke is passionate about bringing academic inventions to patients and on the market. In addition to supporting scientific innovation in regenerative medicine with Starfish Innovations, Janneke is Business Developer for LURIS, the knowledge and technology transfer office of Leiden University Medical Center.
